Here is a video of Garett giggling. Jake was playing with him one night after dinner and all of a sudden I hear this giggle come ringing across the house! I ran to the camera in hopes of capturing some of it. Well, turns out this boy had quite a few giggles to share! He tends to do them more with daddy but he's learning that mommy can make him laught too! :)

Some Up-to-Date Pictures of the Boys
Christmas 2008
We got to celebrate Christmas at home this year. Because of that, I had WAY too much time to bake goodies (and eat most of them). We tried to keep the spending to a minimum but it's always hard to not buy your kids everything!! But it's hard to buy the "good" stuff when you go shopping the night before Christmas (um, this is strictly Jake's fault! I can say that on here since he rarely reads the blog). Anyhow, we had lots of fun as a family. Garett had an early morning feeding before Wyatt was awake and then went back to sleep. So Garett didn't take part in the festivities this year! Just gave Wyatt more presents to unwrap. This year, Wyatt understood the Elf on the Shelf a bit more and we left cookies out for Santa this time!!
The MEDDAC Ball
The ball was back in December but I just now realized that I never put any pics up on here from it. So here's a few of Jake and me dancing the night away (I just was glad I could squeeze into the dress and nothing "popped" out of it during the night!).
Having lots of fun on the dance floor...
Finally... some pictures!!
Here's a few pics (finally) from our trip to Destin, Florida where we stayed for a week with my parents and my brother and sister-in-law with their son, Luke! It was quite the full house but soooo much fun! Guys, I enjoyed all of it but our dinner the last night was the BOMB!!!!! :)
Even though the water was FREEZING cold (ok, not as bad as Flat Lake in Montana), Jake and I ventured in a few times. Hey, you gotta get your money's worth! I don't have all the best pics but here's a few to remind me (and share with you) our fun vacation.

Still no pics, I know!
This is just a quick note to say that my computer is going to be getting fixed soon... I guess the motherboard is a mess. But I found a way to blog... had to find the ethernet cord first!
I didn't discover this until 9 o' clock tonight and now I have to head to bed... have a day job tomorrow. But then I have the rest of the week off till Monday -- I start a new job for two months. Anyhow, now that I can get online with my computer (Jake is out of town with his), I PROMISE that I will upload some pics tomorrow. I have some good ones of the boys!!!

Bittersweet Feelings
Friday was my last day of long-term subbing at second grade. It's funny -- some of those students knew how to push my button from the very first day together but I will still miss each one of them. I won't miss managing their behaviors (especially some of the rudeness) but I will miss the teaching, my teammates, and that daily groove.
I'm off this week with the boys. Jake is going to Fort Rucker, Alabama through Friday. We might drive down on Thursday or so to spend a day or two with him. I've recently submitted some applications for jobs on Post in their daycares. Hey, if my boys can be there with me and I can travel with Jake to/from work, it'll be worth it. And we might look at moving to Post this summer anyways.
Otherwise, not much other news for now. I'm looking forward to not setting my alarm Sunday night!! :)

Garett's Giggles and Rolls, Wyatt's Prayer
Let me first say I am sooo sorry I haven't put up new pics/video yet. I am having to use Jake's laptop -- mine is not connecting to the internet right now. And my computer is the one that has the videos and pictures on it. But I promise to catch up as soon as I can! I have some great pics to put on as well as a new video of Garett... giggling! :)
It is so stinking cute! It's an actual giggle too. But he really only does it when Jake is tickling or playing with him. He smiles at me but that's the extent of our relationship. :)
Garett is also rolling over now. He is really good at rolling from his back to his belly but he will also go from his belly to his back. I usually find him on his belly by morning time in his crib. A few times we have checked on him in the evening and found him with his legs sticking out through the rails! It's so funny.
Garett is also eating some solids now. He seems to enjoy rice cereal with applesauce and will deal with some veggies. We've only tried sweet peas and squash -- we had to work our way through the squash but he took to the sweet peas pretty well. He doesn't do the gag-shake like Wyatt did. Instead, he does this sort of spit thing. And he is way messier than his big brother -- the foods finds it way on to his face, hands, bib, clothes, EVERYWHERE!
As for my sweetheart Wyatt, he is talking so much better and even tells jokes (at least he things so). He is such a cutie and is learning so much at preschool. I'm so glad he goes! The other night he shared with us a prayer that he learned at daycare. It goes something like this (to the tune of Frere Jacques):
God the Father, God the Father
Thank you, Thank you
something something Blessings
Amen, Amen
Sorry about that fourth line but we can't quite tell what he's saying! And I always forget to ask at the daycare. But it was so sweet the night he shared it with us at the table! We were both smiling and so darn proud of him.
I have one more week of my long-term sub job. I'm going to miss the students and my teammates/school but am looking forward to a little time off again. Jake is going out of town the week after I'm done so if I'm not working then, the boys and I are going to travel down and hand out for a little with him at Fort Rucker.
Everything is going so well for our family right now. Again, sorry for the lack of photos but I will get some put on soon (I hope).

Sorry Mom!! Garett's Stats
This blog is dedicated to Cynthia Wheeler, my lovely mother, who asked so nicely to see Garett's "stats" for his four-month check up and compare them with Wyatt. I totally forgot last night so here you go, mom!!
At Garett's check up, he was 27 1/2 inches long (95th percentile) and weighed close to 16 pounds (70th percentile).
When Wyatt was Garett's age (actually three weeks older), he was 24 3/4 inches long and weighed almost 15 pounds.
By this time, Wyatt was enjoying his doorway bouncer (giggle, bounce, giggle, bounce), eating rice cereal and starting on veggies, rolling over both ways, and sleeping from 8-7, eat, and sleep some more. Garett is pretty close to all of this but this is our way of seeing that each of our boys will be different!! :)

Wow... where to start?
Some of you may be asking "Where have you been, Anna?" WELL... life has been keeping me quite busy lately with my long-term sub job, working on wrapping up my Masters program, a family vacation in Florida, and OH YEAH the boys in my life! :)
I am hoping to make a cute video of our trip to Florida (Destin area). We had so much fun playing on the beach (even though the water was still cold -- hey, gotta get our money's worth), trying out some new restaurants, and just relaxing with the family (mom, dad, Jen, Justin, and Luke).
I start back up tomorrow for three more weeks of subbing. The teacher might be back for the last week of January but we'll see if the doc releases her. Jake found out that he is not heading over to Germany in February for the month. He's okay with that -- more time with the fam.
As for the little boys in my life... Wyatt amazes me more and more each day with how much he is learning and growing. He was saying something the other day (not 100% sure what...) but he finished it by saying, "I just joking!!!" It was so darn cute! Garett just had his four month check up today which means three more shots. Owie! But he did okay, sleeping most of the day after that. He is rolling over now from his belly to his back, and he loves to lay on his side on the floor. Garett is drinking formula half the time now with me working (it's too hard to pump during the day for me). He seems to be doing well except for a bit of a cough right now. Other than that, he is growing (in length and hair amount) and smiling more each day. Jake has even got him close to giggling with all of daddy's tickles! :)
